A woman stands against a brick wall, wearing a black top, black pants, and a colorful scarf. She has dark, shoulder-length hair and accessorizes with earrings and a necklace.

About me

Hi, I’m Michelle! I have been folding for around 15 years, and I’ve loved every moment of it.

In my origami, I explore the interplay between simplicity and complexity. A two-dimensional sheet, when guided thoughtfully, gives way to a world of structure, depth, and emotion. David Gache’s book title puts this idea elegantly: “Shaping Paper: Breathing Life into Origami”.

In my free time outside of origami, I am working on my PhD in Neurobiology at the University of Chicago.
